Summary:
This is a very short news article style tale of one of Russia’s most successful female snipers.
Additional Comments:
- Felt like a really long book report.
- The lady has an incredibly interesting life, but the clinical way this is told makes it feel like 8 degrees of separation. It’s very hard to connect to her as a person, a woman, a soldier, a patriot who fought for—and ultimately died—for her country.
- Even with it being very short, parts meandered off away from her tale. It would have been way more interesting if told as historical fiction or fictionalized history with quotes from her journal entries.
Conclusion:
Despite it’s shortcomings, it’s an intriguing tale and worth listening to.
